  16. It's actually very simple to do with emacs.
  17. Try the following:
  18.  
  19. - start up emacs and load one of the uuencoded files
  20. - make sure the cursor is above the actual uue data
  21. - type [ESC] x replace-string (or whatever short-command you may have)
  22. - type [SPACE] ctrl-q ctrl-j (a space followed by a UNIX newline)
  23.   as the string to search for
  24. - type [SPACE] as the string to replace with
  25.  
  26. All the fixes will be done automatically.
  27.  
  28. The files should decode nicely and check out correctly with 'unzip -t'.
